The Bonfire of the Wise Session - East Africa Sports Diplomacy and Play for Peace Youth Tournament

The Sun Rays Foundation's Bonfire of the Wise was a game-changer at the East Africa Sports Diplomacy and Play for Peace Youth Tournament. Young people from Uganda, DRC, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya and Cameron came together for a transformative experience.

Over the course of the week, four esteemed keynote speakers took turns sharing their wisdom and insights on topics that matter most to young people. Dr. Oluoch Titus Okoyo, College Principal YMCA National Training Institute Kenya, kicked off the series with a thought-provoking session on Self Leadership and Professional Goal.

Dr. Michael Otieno (PhD), a sports enthusiast and academic, followed with a fascinating talk on the impact of sports on career development.

Bishop Timothy Okelo, a renowned spiritual leader, provided a thought-provoking session on marriage and relationships.

Margaret Wambui Gichuhi, a seasoned professional and mentor, wrapped up the series with a session on domestic violence.

The format was a key part of the magic. Participants gathered around a bonfire each evening, creating a warm, intimate atmosphere that fostered open and honest conversations.
